This is probably the best Javanese noodle in Yogyakarta. It is legendary since 1986. The place is quite hard to access from the downtown but its worth. It takes up to 1 hour to enjoy your order, but the flavor won't disappoint you. The originality of the "bakmi jawa" taste is no.1.
No better place to visit for an authentic BAKMIE JAWA. Must go before the place open unless you want to queue for hours since the method of cooking they use is slow and made to order one by one...
The taste is very traditional, im not fan of bakmi jawa but i like this one. Anw you have to be patient, because long of waiting. Dont forget to order teh nasgitel, panas legi kentel, they use gula batu, perfect. I love how they use telor bebek at their menu, very tasty.
The food is good. But I'm not really sure if it's really worth it to have a second visit here...It's located far south from the city and to actually reach it you need to navigate through small kampung alleys. I wonder how it's like during the tourist season...I was lucky that I visited it on weekdays.Price is quite expensive for a noodle
mantul! the best javanese mie in town
A culinary adventure, far and not easy to find. Be prepared, The place is quite far from center of Yogyakarta. Very tasty, authentic Javanese noodle both boiled and fried. Balance of spices and fresh ingredients. You should try to and young egg (uritan). I believe, it will worth the trip and the wait. Very recommended.
It was a nice place for relaxing ur mind with a traditional noodles and traditional drinks
Authentic javanese cuisine with kampung vibes and affordable price
One of the best bakmi (noodles) in yogyakarta. It's always worth to wait. It takes 30-90 minutes to cook and serve, depend on the queue, because they cook every plates of noodles one by one even if u order two same menu. But if u want to taste the best traditional noodles, with aroma of charcoal, this is one of the best. Make sure u come early if u don't want to wait longer. Always crowded at weekends.
Waited too long & ordinary taste
Ok
The taste is xoxo. The price is expensive. The wait is like forever until you need to order one more glass of drink. However, the parking lot is wide and guarded.
Need extra patience if you want to try Jogya's traditional food in here. Popular place with hidden location that served noodle with duck egg with traditional processing. You must try food in this place when you stay in Jogya.
You should be patience.. a big patience
It's typical dish but it's sriusly delicious 😋😋😋. Let's learn few new words 😅, Jahe is ginger?, nyemek is the dish with little soup?, godog is boil or simmer? I guess 🤔🤔Tried bakmi godog and goreng, both are the exact opposite as 1 is noodle with broth/soup while the other is fried. The location shows on the map is probbly not correct, lucky we went by 🛵 and asked few friendly aunties to point us to the exact location 😎😎
It tasted very well. I really liked it. Although the place was in suburban Yogyakarta, and the place was not what you consider as clean, the cooking procedure is clean. I would recommend you to try it when travelling to Yogyakarta.
I spend my 2.5 hours which is very valuable just for a plate of noodles. They poured too much MSG.
One of the best bakmi jawa. Should come with not too hungry tummy as the queue can be bad sometimes.
It's edible for my tongue but different for my wife. Quite pricey for food stall located in village. Just enjoy the journey, don't expect too much. But you may have different taste like I did. :)
Most of the time it's fully packed with customers waiting for its delicious noodles. Mbah Mo would lovingly cooks one portion at a time for every order to ensure that the taste would remain the same for everyone.
Good taste and cheap
Unusual Price for Parking and Drinking
Great taste, but quite hard to find and long queue. Should be patient to wait
legend pikoke
So delicious, been cooked 1 time for 1 portion only, very unique, you can not find this local taste on other place
just a little far away from jogja city centertraditional jogja's noodledoesn't change from a long time agoparking slot is limiteddon't go on rainy day
No ice, so hot and the food is so awfull
Three times have dinner in here and still original and fantastic mie
Personally, this is one of the best Bakmi Jawa in town. This traditional Javaneese noodle is so tasty & delicious which can warm up your life when you have it for dinner. The fried noodle taste light and delicious, specially when you ordered with extra chicken meet. Yummmyyy... 👍
Really below expectation. I expect more from the one to bear a 'legendary' title..
How can I describe its noodle. Just very yummy juicy. But order took a Lil more time, and the place hard to find
Food in here is delicious. You just need extra effort to get there
Eventhough a little bit hard to find and need to be patient in queuing, the taste of Mi Godog is natural and good. Not much MSG as they use broth of ayam kampung. My nephew, 10yrs old, that doesn't like to eat, he likes this and wanna come again. Not oily for Mi Goreng.
Taste is delicious but the service takes a quite long
The nyemek noodles was the best, a great combination between flavourful broth and fried noodles.
Simple n authentic. Another delicious bakmi jowo in Bantul.
Couldn't agree more...this is a legendary culinary. A culmination of the history, quality, consistency. It creates a worth to wait meals even for 1,5 hour.
Hidden gems. Please be patient while you order
Original Java noodle with local taste
You need to spend 1-2 hours waiting for the food. The rate is "upnormal". The taste is not special, just an ordinary "mi godog".
old javanese noddlles, original flavors ...
authenthic taste ♡
Good food, good friend, good talk
i think its to expensive for a "bakmi jawa".. and it must take a long time to get the food because so much of queue.. isn't recommend for college student like me.. but the food taste and the tea taste is good just suitavle with the price.. but its the most expensive "bakmi jawa" that i ever eat..
Quite far from jogjakarta it takes 30minutes by car, the taste is so so..
The Legend Lives! Spare some time to try this legendary noodle! While the Restaurant is so old and traditional, the taste is so good. The famous menu is MIE NYEMEK. But my favourite is MIE GORENG. And the other interesting fact is they fry the MIE GORENG without any oil :)
Service excellen - food standard
it's good place for eating traditional Javanese noodle, the food taste is not too strong. it's also serve traditional drink like wedang uwuh
Come here tonight will be more exciting. After passing the lonely road, suddenly found a lot of car parking. The noodle taste really addictive!
The soup is so tasty and the noodle is delicate. The price is cheap. But the location is quite hard to find unless you use a gps navigation.
